On April 9, 2002,
thousands of Palestinians and artists residing within the 1948
areas, tried to deliver humanitarian aid to Jenin. Valantina was
among them and got shot in her left arm by an Israeli soldier. She
completely lost the use of her left elbow. This incident was a
turning point in her life; in the eyes of people, Valantina became
to be known as The Struggler.
Two years and six
surgeries later, moving from one hospital to another, Valantina
strove to become a much powerful woman than she already was, her
heart was full of splendor and beauty. |
